About the Exhibition

A Journey Through Van Gogh’s Eyes

Step into a world where the past meets the present, where the rich landscapes of Brabant, Netherlands, are brought to life through the visionary lens of Vincent Van Gogh. As you enter the Van Gogh Digi Village, you are not merely a visitor—you are a traveler, journeying back in time to the very places that shaped one of history’s greatest artists.

This exhibition aims to transcend the traditional boundaries of art and immerse you, the visitor, into the very heart of Van Gogh’s world. The walls and floors around you are not just surfaces; they are the canvas upon which Van Gogh’s life unfolds. Through the innovative use of projection technology, the vibrant fields, humble cottages, and winding paths of Brabant are recreated in breathtaking detail, enveloping you in the sights and sounds that once inspired Van Gogh.

The Village in Brabant: A Living Canvas

Imagine standing within the very scenes that Van Gogh once painted, his brushstrokes now transformed into living, breathing landscapes. As you move through the space, the artwork is dynamically projected onto the walls and floors, shifting and evolving as you explore. The gentle rustle of leaves, the golden glow of wheat fields, and the tranquil rhythm of rural life in Brabant come alive under your feet and around you. It is as if you are walking alongside Van Gogh, witnessing the beauty of the Dutch countryside through his eyes.

An Immersive Experience Beyond the Visual

In the Van Gogh Digi Village, every step you take is a step deeper into Van Gogh’s artistic soul. The projections respond to your presence, drawing you into the very fabric of the world he knew and loved. As the light and color wash over the space, you will feel the same awe and reverence that Van Gogh felt for the natural world. The region of Brabant is not just recreated—it is reimagined, allowing you to experience the serenity and inspiration that Van Gogh found in the everyday beauty of his surroundings.

But this experience is not merely visual. As you walk through the village, you will hear the sounds of nature—the chirping of birds, the distant toll of church bells, and the rustling of the wind through the trees—blended seamlessly with a soundtrack that captures the essence of Van Gogh’s inner world. This symphony of sights and sounds is designed to connect you with the artist on a deeper level, inviting you to see not just what Van Gogh saw, but to feel what he felt.

An Invitation to Reflect and Discover

The Van Gogh Digi Village is more than an exhibition—it is an invitation to slow down, to look closely, and to rediscover the world through the eyes of an artist who found extraordinary beauty in the ordinary. As you explore the projected landscapes of Brabant, take a moment to reflect on the simple yet profound inspirations that fueled Van Gogh’s creativity. In this space, you are not just an observer; you are a part of the narrative, connected to the artist’s journey in a way that transcends time and place.
